Paul Hogan represents Home Instead Senior Care at World Economic Forum

Paul Hogan at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting

Paul Hogan recently participated in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting from January 25-29 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.

Paul serves on the WEF global Agenda Council on Ageing Society and recently co-authored two chapters for a book entitled, Global Population Ageing: Peril or Promise. The book was released at this year’s annual meeting.

Paul co-authored Chapter 7, Social Capital Lifelong Learning and Social Innovation (page 39), with Simon Biggs, Professor of Gerontology and Social Policy at University of Melbourne (Australia), and Laura Carstensen, Director of Stanford Center on Longevity the original source.

Paul also penned Chapter 12 (page 61), Design and Operation of Health Systems in Developing Countries, with Linda Fried, and Jack Rowe, from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.

The Preface was written by Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, and, the Foreward was written by Dr. Margaret Chan, Director-General of the World Health Organization.

The book brings together a collection of essays, to help inform and stimulate discourse, defuse the perceived threat and promote a proactive vision for adaptation to support positive population ageing — one that will require forward-thinking frameworks and innovations in technology, education and policy. It is intended for a broad audience: traditional media and social media, the informed public, political leaders, public policy-makers, the private sector and specialists seeking to round out their knowledge.

The biographies for the members of the council are located on pages 138-144.
